By using HelloDate you agree to these terms. Read them once. They are shorter than most.
Who can use HelloDate
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- One account per person. Using multiple accounts, fake identities, AI-generated personas, or stolen photos is grounds for immediate ban.
- You agree that what you write in your four confessions is written by you, reflects you honestly, and is not copied from another person.
Content rules
We remove profiles, portraits, or messages that include:
- Sexual content, nudity, or explicit solicitation.
- Harassment, stalking behavior, threats, or repeated contact after a decline.
- Hate speech or identity-based slurs.
- Commercial solicitation (crypto, OF promotion, MLM, paid relationships).
- AI-generated bios or portraits pretending to be real.
- Content that could endanger someone (financial scams, phishing, deepfakes).
How invitations and letters work
- Sending a deep letter requires writing at least 100 characters of context. Each message in a 1-on-1 thread requires at least 30 characters.
- If someone declines your invitation or stops replying, do not try to work around this (do not create a new account, do not find them elsewhere and contact them about HelloDate).
- We may review message content if reported. Reporting someone in bad faith is itself a violation.
Our moderation
- Every profile and portrait passes through human moderation before going live.
- Decisions are final for the queue; you can edit and resubmit as many times as you like.
- We may pause or terminate accounts at our discretion, especially for behavior that undermines the tone of the platform.
Paid features
- Subscriptions ($29/month or $199/year) unlock additional invitation quotas, as described on the pricing page.
- No dark patterns: no "read receipts for a fee," no "pinned profile," no "virtual gifts," no ads. Ever.
- Cancel anytime. Refunds within 14 days of purchase if you have not used an invitation quota that period.
Graduation
You can leave HelloDate at any time by hiding or deleting your profile. If you found someone here and want to share the story publicly, we'll ask for explicit consent before publishing.
Liability
HelloDate facilitates introductions between adults. We do not do background checks. We cannot guarantee the truthfulness of other users' profiles (though we moderate for obvious deception). When meeting offline, use normal judgment: public place, trusted friend notified, your own transport.
HelloDate is provided "as is." We are not liable for consequences of interactions between users, to the extent allowed by law.
Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced via email and a banner on the site. Continued use after a change means you accept it.
